Melamine plywood consists of multiple layers of wood veneer bonded with waterproof resin, with melamine-impregnated decorative paper applied to both faces under heat and pressure. Two core material options are offered: poplar cores provide a lightweight, cost-effective option for painted or concealed applications, while birch cores deliver higher screw-holding strength and dimensional stability for structural furniture components.
Panels are produced in multiple ply configurations to match performance requirements: 5-ply, 7-ply, 9-ply, 13-ply, and 15-ply constructions are available, with ply count increasing proportionally with panel thickness.
The production process incorporates two specific manufacturing steps:
Two-step hot pressing: Panels undergo two separate hot press cycles rather than a single extended press. This process increases resin penetration between veneer layers, improves bond strength, and creates a more consistent surface finish.
Veneer gap filling: Prior to pressing, narrow wood strips are cut and inserted into natural gaps in core veneers. This step reduces surface telegraphing through the melamine face and creates a flatter panel after pressing.
All melamine plywood panels are produced to consistent manufacturing tolerances, with standard configurations suitable for most furniture and interior applications. Custom dimensions and core configurations can be produced for volume orders.

Advantage | 1. Two hot pressing processes, so that the plywood adhesion, nail holding force is stronger, the finish is better, so that the plywood used will be more durable than other hot pressing. 2. Knife - drawing:normal manufacturer won't have this process. Useknife cut the small length strip of wood to fill up the gap of veneer,so that the plywood will be more smooth and durable after hot-pressing. |

The melamine surface creates a non-porous finish that requires no additional sealing or finishing after fabrication. Surfaces can be cleaned with standard cleaning agents without staining or discoloration, making the material suitable for residential and commercial furniture that receives regular use.
Machining Properties Panels cut, route, and drill cleanly with standard woodworking tooling. The laminated construction reduces tear-out during cutting compared to solid wood or MDF products. Screw-holding strength supports assembly with standard wood screws and confirmat screws used in flat-pack furniture production.
Dimensional Stability The cross-laminated veneer construction reduces expansion and contraction across the panel face compared to solid wood panels, making the material suitable for installation in climate-controlled interior environments.
Each production batch undergoes inspection for five specific parameters before release: dimensional accuracy, thickness consistency, formaldehyde emission levels, glue bond strength, and moisture content. Testing is performed by the in-house quality control team at multiple stages of production.
ISO9001 certification documents the quality management system governing all production processes. CE marking indicates compliance with European Union construction product safety standards. FDA certification supports applications where panels may come into incidental contact with food. FSC certification is available for orders requiring documented sustainable wood sourcing.
Online technical support is available for commercial users throughout the specification and fabrication process.
Standard samples are provided at no charge, with international express shipping fees collected from the recipient. Sample shipments typically include standard color options and thickness configurations for evaluation.
Standard production lead time is 2-3 weeks from receipt of advance payment. Lead times for custom colors or special specifications may be longer and are confirmed at the time of order placement.
Standard terms are 50% payment by T/T at the time of order placement, with the remaining 50% balance paid before goods leave the factory. Alternative payment terms can be discussed for established customers with recurring order volume.
All export orders ship from Tianjin Port, located approximately 150 kilometers from primary production facilities in Hebei province. Container loading is supervised at the port to confirm packaging integrity before shipment.
OEM and ODM production services are available for commercial orders. Custom panel dimensions, melamine colors and finishes, and core material configurations can be produced to match project-specific requirements. Custom orders are subject to minimum volume requirements that are confirmed during quotation.
