Definition and uses

Keel channels are made of light steel, usually made of galvanized steel sheets or aluminum alloy, with high strength and durability. Its structural features include T-shaped or U-shaped keels, connected by snap-fit joints, suitable for large area ceiling and wall decoration.
Parameters

The main parameters of the keel channel include length, width, thickness, hole spacing, and load-bearing capacity.
- Length: The length of the keel channel is usually available in common lengths such as 3 meters, 3.6 meters, 4 meters, etc.
- Width: Depending on the model, the width is generally around 24mm.
- Thickness: The thickness of the flat-headed keel channel is about 0.3mm, while the thickness of the triangular keel channel is about 0.4-0.5mm.
- Hole spacing: The spacing of the transverse rivet holes on the keel channel typically comes in different hole spacings such as 300mm, 600mm, etc.
- Load-bearing capacity: The load-bearing capacity of the keel channel is generally between 15kg/m² and 20kg/m².
Installation method

1. Layout: According to the design construction drawings, lay out the partition wall location lines, door and window opening frame lines on the prepared ground or ground sleepers, and lay out the top keel position edge lines.
2. Install door opening frames: After layout, install the partition wall door opening frames according to the design.
3. Install top and bottom keels: Install the top and bottom keels along the laid partition wall location lines, and fix them to the main structure with shooting nails.
4. Vertical keel spacing: After installing the top and bottom keels, space according to the size of the cover panel, adjust the vertical and accurate positioning, and fix with drawbore nails.
5.Install horizontal blocking keels: According to the design requirements, when the partition wall height is greater than 3 meters, horizontal blocking keels should be added, fixed with drawbore nails or bolts.
